For 15 years, I worked in executive recruitment, helping people take the next step in their careers and seeing first-hand what makes people join, stay, thrive - or disengage and walk away.
Since 2010, I’ve expanded that work into organisational culture, specialising in leadership and team development to help organisations build working cultures worth staying for.
My background gives you a unique blend of front-line leadership experience and professional expertise in inclusion and belonging, learning and development, and workforce culture. It also means my work is grounded in the real world of work. Not theory for theory’s sake, but practical, human-centred approaches that help people lead better, connect better and do better work.
As a CIPD-certified training professional, multi-award-winning speaker, TEDx speaker, Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association UK&I and internationally published author, I bring credibility, energy and depth to every room I work in.
Based in Shropshire, UK, I work with organisations across sectors, geographies and demographics, creating engaging, relevant and immersive experiences that strengthen connection, support performance and make better work possible.
I created The Matter Model from a question I couldn't stop asking

I meet so many brilliant people who have lost focus, felt isolated and fallen out of love with their employer.
Fewer than 1 in 5 people globally are fully engaged at work.
This fallout costs businesses $trillions every year in lost productivity, damaging staff wellbeing and brand reputation in the process.
I created The Matter Model as a diagnostic lens for why people stay, switch off or walk away from work. It acts as the roadmap to re-engagement, fulfilment and higher performance.

I've experienced many times during my life when I felt excluded. My personal insights mean I'm fiercely passionate about treating others with dignity, respect and kindness.
Passion
This work matters to me. I'm not only running a business; I'm looking to create real change through the partnerships I undertake. The old saying goes, 'When you love what you do, you never work a day in your life' and this is something that resonates with me. I really love what I do and it's visible in every interaction.

I'm approachable and honest. I won't pay lip service if something isn't right, but similarly I'll be completely committed to engaging with you to get the best results for your business.
Fun
My messages have serious implications for improving leadership, engagement and belonging in your organisation, but that doesn't mean we can't have some fun on our journey together. I believe that lightly sprinkled humour and audience interaction help messages stick and learning embed. I'm well known for being an engaging engager!
